The Heartland Symphony Orchestra will be performing their Fall Concert Series theme “European Tour.” The program will feature soloist Christopher Fogderud, Principal Trumpet, in an Arutiunian Trumpet Concerto. The HSO woodwinds will also be featured during Gounod’s Petite Symphonie as well as the St. Francis Concert Orchestra for Beethoven’s An Ode to Joy Festival in Little Falls among other selections. The Saturday, October 15th performance in Little Falls will be at Charles D. Martin Auditorium at 7:30pm. The Sunday, October 16th performance will be at Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts in Brainerd at 2:30 pm.
Conductor, Ryan Webber, will host “Conductor Chats” prior to each concert. For many, these informational programs make listening to classical music a much more enjoyable experience.
These concerts are made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board and the Five Wings Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. In Little Falls, the Laura Jane Musser Fund provides additional support.
These HSO concerts are welcome to all ages and free of charge, no tickets necessary. Donations will be accepted at the door or online.
